What is style?

Many people have different ideas and perspectives on what style can is. Style isn’t just just making a statement, or having the latest clothes in vogue.

Style ties in with inner beauty. It something that is supposed to bring out your personality, who you are not try and change you. In the search for our own style, we should not allow ourselves to become what others want us to be.

True style comes from within; true style is getting clothes that are timeless classics that work for you and that accentuate you best features. It seems that designers today are trying to be what the public wants them to be.

Isn’t the whole point of fashion to make art… to create a statement that people can wear, something that never gets old?

For example the Mona Lisa, she is a timeless piece of art with a hint of mystery, nobody knows who she is and for thousands of years she has intrigued the public eye. Fashion is changing as our lives progress into a new generation let us be the designers make something new make a picture will never forget.

Oil’d

A year ago, a massive oil spill began in the Gulf. The entire country was glued to the news until the well was capped, and then we forgot about it.

As the year anniversary was fast approaching I became curious, just how much oil was that exactly? Where would it have gone? What I found was shocking.

So in an effort to further our discussion on oil dependency I created this short animation. I’ve spent all of my free time in the last month putting this together to help illustrate just how dependent we truly are on oil. (From Chris Harmon)
